Practice Areas

The Law Office of Ana C. Augusto is a boutique firm providing legal advise to individuals and families navigate through financial difficulties and the recovery from separation.

Collaborative Law

Attorney Augusto is a collaborative attorney and believes that there are private alternatives to resolving family disputes instead of the legal system. In collaborative law, the divorce and the paternity disputes can be resolved in a private setting with respect, less financial strain and more quickly.

Her prior experience as a middle school teacher exposed her to difficult situations.  Ms. Augusto learned to negotiate and resolve problems that otherwise would lead to public humiliation.

Collaborative Practice:

Protects your children

Reduces conflict

Maintains control

Agreements are reached in private

Aims to protect long term relationships

Collaborative Practice may be right for you if you and your former partner:

  • Wish to work together to reach parenting solutions to avoid emotional trauma to your children.

  • Understand and accept the necessity to make full financial disclosure.

  • Want to reduce the emotional and financial cost of separation.

  • Modification of child support

Sometimes life throws you unexpected events like an illness or loss of employment that lead to financial difficulties.

If your family is struggling to pay the bills and you want to avoid further financial struggles, there may be a solution available to you.  There are different types of bankruptcies for different types of situations.  Consult with Ana and discuss which kind of bankruptcy may be your key to a fresh start.
